Digital Scan

Clincheck Treatment Plan
Software generates a full digital treatment plan showing the planned movement sequence from your current alignment to the final result. Dr. Smith reviews this plan, makes any adjustments and then shows it to you on screen so you can see the projected outcome before approving it.
Aligner Fabrication
Once the plan is approved, your full series of aligners is fabricated and delivered to our office, typically within a few weeks.
Fitting Your First Aligners
Dr. Smith fits your first set of aligners and places any attachments needed, which are small tooth colored dots bonded to specific teeth to help the aligners grip and move teeth that need more precise control. She shows you how to insert, remove and care for them.
Progress Check Ins.
You return every six to eight weeks so Dr. Smith can check that your teeth are tracking according to plan, assess the fit of the current aligners and release the next sets. Most of your treatment happens at home, which is part of the convenience.
Refinements If Needed
Occasionally a mid course adjustment is needed if teeth have not moved exactly as planned. A new scan is taken and additional aligners are fabricated to get the result on track.
Retainers
At the end of treatment your teeth are in their new position but the bone around the roots has not fully stabilized. Retainers are fitted immediately and worn consistently, initially full time and then nightly long term, to hold the result. Skipping retainers is the most common reason teeth shift back.
